Sensoria 2018: Get Involved!

The annual extravaganza of film, live music, talks, DJs, installations, dance and all manner of other things is back in Sheffield from 27th September-6th October 2018 – and this year they’re looking for exciting new work to feature across the realms of film, music and digital media.

The theme is ‘Senses Working Overtime’, and the festival is eager to welcome potential partners, co-promoters and anyone else who’d like to make any programme suggestions to get in touch.

Jo Wingate, Sensoria Director told Exposed: “We’re really pleased to be continuing our 10th year celebrations and excited that Sensoria will be branching out to bring our audiences even more amazing experiences that embrace all of the senses.”

See below for what they’re after. All submissions should be sent to with the subject ‘Sensoria 2018 Submissions’. Deadline is 5pm on Friday 27th April.

Sensoria is looking to present fiction features or short films with an innovative soundtrack or score, music documentary, music related biopics and truly exceptional music video. Films should have been completed after 2015. Send Vimeo links to the email address above.

They’re also looking for original new bands, especially (but not exclusively) those whose performance includes an innovative, exciting use of visuals. Send over any Soundcloud/Dropbox links or MP3s.

VR and other events
This year, the event organisers are very interested in VR apps that explore diverse sensory experiences plus ideas for events that explore any or all of the senses. Take your pick.
