Register To Vote!

Although the local elections may seem a long way off, the referendum on the UK’s membership of the European Union could be called at six weeks’ notice. This decision could have a huge impact on the UK, and if you’re not registered to vote then you won’t be able to have a say. Unless you apply to register on the new system then you will be removed on December 1 this year; it only takes a few minutes and you can avoid being fined £80! It’s a no-brainer really.

John Mothersole, Returning Officer for the elections in Sheffield said: “It’s really important that everyone is registered to vote and is able to exercise their democratic rights when the elections take place next year.”
