Spandau Ballet – March 6

Britain’s favourite New Romantics make a welcome return to Sheffield for their first arena tour in over five years.

The band will play a selection of their greatest hits alongside new material to celebrate the release of upcoming album, ‘The Story, The Very Best of Spandau Ballet’.

In a recent Exposed interview with lead singer Martin Kemp, the silverfox himself spoke of his attachment with our fair city, for it was while staying in Sheffield in 1983 that news broke of Spandau’s first number one with ‘True’.

“I can remember being in the hotel after the gig, having got the phonecall at 8 o’clock in the morning that the single had gone to the top of the charts, and all of a sudden there was this commotion outside our hotel room. It was John Keeble and Steve Norman on the room service trolley drinking champagne, being wheeled up and down the corridor – I don’t think that vision will ever leave me…”
