Ezra Furman – February 17th
American singer-songwriter Ezra Furman comes to Sheffield University’s Foundry this month. Presenting an unusual brand of rock, it’s hard to take your eyes of Ezra Furman, as he stands in his dress and thick make-up and sings about depression and Judaism. Slowly building a reputation amongst those who know him as managing to host truly unpredictable gigs, the cross-dressing and insightful lyricism of Furman gets comparisons drawn between him and the likes of David Bowie and Lou Reed. Ezra Furman is bringing the ‘weirdo rock-star’ image back in full force, and is not an act to miss.
