999 Fun Day on the Moor
Head to The Moor on Sunday April 19 for 999 Family Fun Day.
The Moor will be ready for any emergency on April 19 in a family day of fun and entertainment where you can also find out about how the emergency services operate. With a whole host of emergency vehicles from the National Emergency Services Museum plus entertainment for all the family, including a bouncy castle, maze and a climbing wall, there’s plenty to do.
The Fire and Police Cadets will be inviting children to have their fingerprints taken, as well as giving them fire and safety tips.
Other experiences include the ‘smoke house’, which involves life saving advice alongside finding out what it is like to be in a room full of smoke and trying to escape.
The Moor will also welcome the Mountain Rescue team, Mansfield Fire Museum, HM Coastguards and RNLI and the Air Ambulance.
Sandra Barley Retail Liaison Manager for the Moor who organises the events welcomes all comers; “This was such a successful event in 2014 we decided to expand it this year. It is an opportunity to learn more about the amazing work of our emergency services as well as to understand how we could all be safer – but in a fun and accessible way that is also suitable for children.”
