A run for your money!

Head Start is Neurocare’s flag ship event. They have a 5k Fun Run for all the family and a Chip timed 10k for the pro runners out there. The event will again be held at the beautiful Rother Valley Country Park on the 17th April, and promises to be a fun and active day for the whole family, whilst doing something important for those who need some help.

Someone who will be taking part is Carol Shipley, a Doncaster Mum who feared she would be paralysed from the neck down after suffering spinal damage. However, lifesaving treatment at the Hallamshire Neuro ward means she’s now miraculously able to walk Head Start’s 5k whilst raising money for Neurocare. Incredible stuff!

Over the 6 years that Head Start has been running, the wonderful supporters of Neurocare have helped to raise over £75,000. This year the charity hope to smash through the £100,000 mark, but need all the help they can get to do this!

The money for this charity event will go to Neurocare, a charity which funds life-saving equipment, cutting edge research and supports the work of Sheffield hospitals’ neurological wards. Without the fantastic support of Sheffield’s community Neurocare could not continue the work they do, so please join them on the 17th April for an energy filled day of fun!
