The Stoops

The Stoops open Exposed In Session Stage at Tramlines

Four piece indie-poppers The Stoops, from Sheffield, are to play the very first slot on our brand new Exposed In Session stage on Dev Green on Saturday afternoon.

Playing upbeat synth-pop tunes between 13:15-13:40, the local talent are sure to inject enthusiasm and excitement into their opening performance.

Back in March we offered South Yorkshire musicians the chance to apply for the two opening slots on our Devonshire Green stage. After heaps of applications from talented bands throughout the region, The Stoops, alongside successful local bands, Bang Bang Romeo and The Ratells, all bagged the prized spaces. Joining them for performances throughout the weekend are the likes of Trash, The Crookes, The Sherlocks, Best Friends and headlining acts Slow Club and Joe Carnall Jnr.

Over the years the Stoops have played hundreds of gigs locally in top venues such as Sheffield O2 Academy, Plug, and The Leadmill. With plenty experience in getting a Sheffield crowd going, the band, famous for their ‘are you up for it’ approach to British indie rock, will not disappoint!

Exploding onto the Sheffield music scene just a few years ago the band have had success after success; supporting Little Man Tate at The Plug and also winning the chance to record at Eliot Kennedy’s Steelworks Studios where they recorded tracks for their latest EP, Million Things.

With limited Saturday tickets available before Tramlines is a complete sell out, there is still opportunity to purchase your ticket and make your way down to Dev Green this weekend to support our brilliant local musicians.
