The Script @ Nottingham Arena

The Script are currently making their way through an epic world tour, which kicked off in Glasgow 19th Feb and hit Nottingham early March.

The show starts with an energetic performance by Tinie Tempah as supporting act, who gets the crowd psyched up, paving the way for The Script’s parade entrance, where 40 lucky fans have been previously selected to follow frontman Danny O’Donoghue from the back of the dark and crowded arena, up to the stage, holding fluorescent green sabres and flags. Danny mounts the stage accompanied with a roar of cheers and screams, the band then kick the show off by launching into ‘Paint the Town Green’ from their new album No Sound Without Silence.

Highlights include a performance on a second circular stage at the rear of the floor standing area, where Danny plays the piano and sings ‘The Man Who Can’t Be Moved’. He then pops up somewhere in the tiered seated area, brushing past surprised fans singing ‘You Won’t Feel A Thing’.

The Script deliver a passionate performance with an eye pleasing laser filled show. Delivering their lyrically driven hits such as ‘The Energy Never Dies’, ‘If You Could See Me Now’ and ‘No Good In Goodbye’ flawlessly, this Irish pop trio prove they are true entertainers.
