Live music returns to Forum

Bi-monthly gig nights will be returning to the Forum next month, kicking off on May 2 with performances from Strange Bones, Calva Louise and another band TBA.

The Forum Presents will bring free live music to the venue on Wednesday evenings, with one night focused on bringing in best up-and-coming touring bands and the other showcasing local talent.

“I think the time is ripe for a Sheffield band to break through,” the Forum’s live events and production manager Lewis Evans told Exposed. “We’ve got a 180-capacity venue, a quality PA system and all of our events are going to be free to encourage people to come down and get involved.”

Alongside a new string of DJ nights taking place on Thursdays – opening with Tom Blip (Blip Discs) and Adam The Steve (Saul’s Sessions) this month – the venue will also be hosting three days of live music over Tramlines weekend. Headliners TBA soon.
