HRH Blues @ O2 Academy Sheffield
Two days of blues rock took over O2 Academy Sheffield at the weekend.
The sold out show welcomed music from around the world; playing 12 hours of non-stop blues rock Saturday (16) and Sunday (17).
In true HRH fashion, fans were housed in Sheffield hotels for two nights over the weekend; all included in a royalty weekend pass ticket, plus breakfast.
The line-up featured some well-known names including Whitesnake hero and guitar legend, Bernie Marsden; alongside a trio of blues rock royalty, namely The Yardbirds, Dr Feelgood and the legendary Ten Years After.
Hard-hitting blues rock band Sugarman Sam and the Voodoo Men kicked off the show in style on Saturday; followed by two-piece blues band, Henry’s Funeral Shoe – brothers from South Wales – who were favourites amongst the audience.
For us, London based blues band, Dirty Thrills, took the limelight not only for their winning performance, but for their daring dress sense and quirky dance moves.
HRH Blues is set to return to O2 Academy Sheffield 15th – 16th April 2017. Tickets are now on sale via the official HRR Blues website.
