Britpop favourites Dodgy are back with their first new single in a decade – and they’re bringing it to Sheffield this winter.

The new track, Hello Beautiful, lands on 26 September via Flip Flop Records, marking a major comeback for the much-loved trio. The single leads into a new album of the same name, due in May 2026, and promises a return to the band’s signature feel-good sound, blending upbeat melodies with soaring harmonies.

Sheffield fans will get a chance to hear the new material live when Dodgy join forces with fellow indie icons Black Grape at Network on 4 December. It’s part of a wider run of UK dates for the band, including their own headline tour beginning in Edinburgh this October.

Formed in the late 1980s, Dodgy were at the heart of the 90s indie scene, with hits like ‘Good Enough’ and Free Peace Sweet earning them a place in Britpop history. Now, after 35 years together, the original line-up – Nigel Clark, Mathew Priest and Andy Miller – are still going strong, joined by bassist Stu Thoy and multi-instrumentalist Graham Mann.

Reflecting on their return, frontman Nigel Clark said: “‘Hello Beautiful’ is more than just a song – it’s a message… it feels amazing to still be here, with the same mates I started out with.”

Drummer Mathew Priest added: “We’ve been through Britpop, festivals, tours, hits, and a lot of life… This new album feels like a proper celebration.”
