iTCH – The Deep End

The Deep End, which is the debut album from London based MC iTCH, packs as much punch as a Mike Tyson’s right hook – but instead of hitting the canvas, it makes you want to jump to your feet and sing your lungs out.

Pop inspired choruses are engulfed by the rowdiness the former King Blues frontman portrays in his raps – with his passion and energy making a seamless transfer from band life to solo life.

Lead single Hopeless Romantic is a certainty to get your head nodding and foot tapping, something that will seem to happen uncontrollably throughout this rip-roaring long player.

iTCH doesn’t play by the rule book; instead he snatches it off you, tears it up and throws it back in your face, telling you to shove it where the sun doesn’t shine… and that’s exactly what makes this album so brilliant.

8/10 Lewis Mottram
