2017 brought a new no-fuss style of dining to Sheffield with Courses arriving on the scene, this brand new pop-up restaurant is starting off small but is by no means mediocre.

Having cultivated a set ten-course tasting menu with cocktails and bespoke wines to compliment, Courses has moved away from the idea of sticking to just one type of cuisine. This place is all about ease and brandishes a contemporary flare for a relaxed dining experience that truly delivers.

Courses is the creation of Jamie Robinson, a life-long lover of cooking food and, most importantly, eating it. From a career that has seen him don aprons for multiple award-winning establishments, Jamie decided to break free of the limitations of other people’s kitchens and make his own rules. All the dishes served in at his pop-up are inspired by Jamie’s own taste buds, starting out as simple flavour combinations which he then goes on to develop into exceptional dishes that continue to satisfy customers. Being creative and above all imaginative is the driving force behind his food production, but his kitchen is also influenced by seasonality, foraging and preservation.

These pop-up events are the first step to Courses finding a permanent home in Sheffield. For now, you can follow their appearances at 9 Paradise Square and Craft and Dough on Ecclesall Road in the city centre. With monthly events and the prospect of taking over more venues in the near future, Courses looks to be the next foodie hotspot in steel city.
