Tramlines Street Style

Music might be the main focus at a festival, but during Tramlines this weekend I discovered that music lovers in Sheffield are also a rather stylish bunch. I took a wander with my camera to showcase Sheffield’s very own festival street-style. Here are my favourite looks from the weekend.

A highlight for me was at the Folk Forest, where I convinced musician Robert Stillman to pose for the blog, right after his performance with Kit Downes quartet. Robert’s striking ensemble caught my eye when he was up on stage, but he was very modest, and didn’t know where his outfit was from. Certainly the most stylish fella I came across, anyway.

A level student Charlotte’s heart shaped shades and boots made her stand out in the city centre, as well as that fabulous black hair and blue eyes. Kate’s Kloset Award for most modelly type, I reckon.*

As expected on such a warm weekend, hot-pants were most definitely prolific, but my favourite pair were being sported by service administrator Natasha. Her flowery headband also got her a thumbs up from me.

I spotted some envy-inducing dresses on my travels but the Kate’s Kloset Award for best dress of the weekend has to go to Susie at the Folk Forest, whose Motel mini-dress looked so good with her tan. Likewise, on Saturday, Tara’s stunning yellow dress was a favourite when I spotted her near the main stage.

Let’s also hear it for the boys – Max and Mike, both Medical students, were just trying to have a hangover breakfast of lemonade and crisps when I pounced on them asking for photos. Still looking lovely in spite of their ailments, they made it to my shortlist.

Thanks to all my model-like music fans this weekend-it was a lot of fun.
