Review: Disney on Ice
Since the demise of the greatest show on telly (that’s Dancing on Ice, obvs), there’s been something of a gap in my skating schedule – so thank Elsa for Disney on Ice.
This latest instalment threw in a bibbidi of Toy Story 2, a bobbidi of The Little Mermaid, and a boo of Cars – the latter of which stole the show (who doesn’t want to see full size talking cars skidding round t’ice?).
Hosted in typical style by Mickey and Minnie (along with a little help from their friends), the night culminated with a tribute to Frozen. Swear down, there were kids present who’d not learned to talk yet, singing every single word to Let It Go.
All in all, a triumph – although each segment was something of a teaser trailer (I’d quite happily fork out good green for a full ice show of any of the aforementioned. ‘Ave a word, Disney).
We had smiles, we had tears… we had a MASSIVE SLINKY DOG ON SKATES! Ahem. Don’t know what you want on a night out, but consider my boxes well and truly ticked.
It’s a small world, after all.
