Food Hall Through The Lens

Food Hall Project: Through The Lens

This month Exposed photoblogger Ellie Grace checked out the new Food Hall Project on Eyre Street.

Freecycling perfectly edible food that would otherwise be wasted, and adopting a ‘Pay As You Feel’ approach, the students and graduates behind the Food Hall Project are forging social change through shared food.

The cafe and kitchen is housed in a disused warehouse space and all of the furniture has been reclaimed and upcycled. With a menu that changes daily the food is of extremely high quality, and you’re welcome to pay whatever you like for it.

You can make a personal contribution by volunteering to cook for the city or by donating some food. Alternatively it’s the perfect space just go, eat and chat!

Check the Food Hall Project out on Facebook and Twitter @FoodHallProject or head to for more. They are open Tuesday-Saturday from 10am-4pm.
