Pop-up cinema specialists the Village Screen will be bringing two back-to-back weekends of film screenings to Castleton’s historic Peak Cavern (better known as the Devil’s Arse).
In fitting with the chosen surroundings, they will be showing some of the greatest adventure films of all time next month – The Goonies, Hook, The Descent, and Raiders of the Lost Ark – inside an ACTUAL CAVE.
Alongside the screenings, there will be plenty more on offer including a fine selection of street food from some of the region’s finest traders, live music and a bar for people to enjoy before the film begins. There will also be a full-stocked bar open inside the cave for each screening.
Dates and timings:
- The Goonies (15 June) – doors at 19:00, screening at 21:00 – *NOW SOLD OUT*
- Hook (16 June) – doors at 18:30, screening at 20:30 – Suitable for families. Recommended minimum age of 12 but parental discretion is advised. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
- The Descent (22 June) – doors at 19:00, screening at 21 – minimum age of 18
- Raiders of the lost Ark (23 June) – doors at 19:00, screening at 21:00 – *NOW SOLD OUT*
