Zigi Shipper: "I feel like the luckiest man alive. I survived."

Holocaust survivor Zigi Shipper will be talking at the University of Sheffield Student's Union on 12 December.

Born in Lodz, Poland in 1930, Zigi was just 9 years old when he was moved into a ghetto, where he spent five years struggling to survive until he was liberated by the British army in 1945.

The 83 year old will recount his first-hand horrors of the Holocaust in an enlightening and inspiring event which is open to all – a small donation is requested, which will go directly to the Holocaust Educational Trust. Already over £400 has been raised and 300 seats booked, so reserve yours here.

12 December, doors open 4:30pm
