Your Easter Treat – EiSL at The Forum. 24/3/2013

Easter is nearly upon us! But instead of gorging yourselves silly on overpriced chocolate, come and nibble at the sumptuous feast of live music on offer at The Forum…
Yes, it's that time of week again. Sunday used to be a day of lethargy, where one would languish around the house filled with dread at the prospect of another weekend passed.
Well not anymore. In Session Live turns your lazy Sunday afternoon in to a riff filled, tune packed, eargasmic evening where you can sample some fine live music and generally forget the drudgery of the week ahead for a few precious hours! On offer at The Forum this coming Sabbath Day we give to you…
Ian Britt – Sheffield based singer, songwriter and independent musician. Expect an array of beautifully constructed melodies, sure to tug at the heartstrings. His distinctive voice and neat guitar work have earnt his songs airtime and nationwide accolade on a range of  TV shows including Hollyoaks, Parenthood, The Real L Word and Keeping Up With The Karsashians to name a few.
However, Ian doesn't stop at making charming love songs. He has other bases covered too, songs such as Crazy Jane provide a darker edge to his writing style, teeming with animosity. Whereas in tracks such as My Wife and Flutterby he laces the music with humour and wit.
In Session Live can guarantee a passionately delivered, all rounded acoustic set from a man quickly gaining popularity in the UK and overseas.
Music that will make you smile, laugh, cry – maybe all at the same time.

Totally Sophie – At the tender age of 18 Sophie DeBattista has already built up an impressive portfolio of achievements.
Born in Malta 1994, She has represented Malta at the Junior Eurovision (2006), landed the part as a resident singer on a national Maltese television show (2007), before appearing at both Westminster Cathedral and The Shaftesbury Theatre (2008) in Old Blighty. Further accolades came through a lead role in 'The Disney High School Musical' and The Michael Jackson Tribute Event and The Malta Music Awards (2009). In the last few years Sophie has been signed to British Music & Management Company 'Thru The Mill Ltd' and embarked on a 22 location tour of the UK playing venues such as London's Trafalgar Square, Pier Head in Liverpool and Piccadilly Manchester.
Sophie is still looking to the future though and she will be sharing her lively, extremely enjoyable live act to The Forum. Some of the tunes have a 'new wave motown' type feel about them and her acoustic prowess provides great quality renditions of tracks such as 'Love to Love You'. Bags of fun from this budding Anglo/Maltese star.

Charlie Barker – It has been a busy few years for Charlie who made her TV debut on BBC1's 'The Next Big Thing', was a BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Awards semi finalist and released her two albums Sleeping at the Station and Ghosts & Heroes on RootBeat Records.
Charlie plays festivals and venues throughout the UK, making appearances at Coventry Arena, Sheffield City Hall, Henley Festival, Cambridge Rock Festival, Buxton Fringe, Ely Folk Festival, Wath Festival and City of York Folk Festival to name a few.
Charlie's performances include flawless vocals and soft, perfectly constructed guitar melodies which overall result in a unblemished live enactment sure to raise the hairs on back of the neck repeatedly.
