Champs, Eccy Road

Which games are they showing? All the key ones.

Why here? Considered the best sports bar in Sheffield, Champs has 30+ TVs inside and out, plus, they're apparently running a competition for a chance to win the World Cup! Possibly not the real one, we're guessing. Plus, there;s a decent beer garden and if you book a table you'll get a free beer and sharing platter.

Any drinks deals? £3 bottles plus Happy Hour drinks offers for on ehour after the final whistle (£2 pints, 95p Wine £1 Jagerbombs).

If they were a World Cup country would they be? USA. Well, it's an American Sports Diner isn't it?

 

 

Common Room, Devonshire St

Which games are they showing? Every one of the blighters. Oh apart from Ivory Coast v Japan as that kicks off at 2am. Not even we’re that dedicated.

Why here? They’ve got 52 screens so no matter where you’re sat there’s always a TV handy. Sports Table packages include guaranteed prime seating, two pitchers and a huge platter of skewered smoked BBQ cuts and heaps of sides, which is enough for 4 of you.

Any drinks deals? You bet. Common Hour drinks offers run Mon-Fri between 5 and 8pm.

If they were a World Cup country which one would they be? Brazil – coz they’re always a hot favourite.

 

 

Corporation, Milton Street

Which games are they showing? All England group matches and the entire knockout phase. Screenings take place in Local Authority amongst lots of comfy sofas.

Why here? There’s 10 projectors, no door charge and if you wanna make a night of it, you’ll get into the club nights for nowt too.

Any drinks deals? Pints are just £2 and pitcher deals are also available.

If they were a World Cup country which one would they be? Italy. Tend to really come into their own in the knockout phase.

 

The Leadmill

Which games are they showing? All the England ones.

Why here? Not only is The Leadmill an iconic institution when it comes to clubbing and gigging but it’s also one of THE places to watch England in action when it comes to the big tourneys.

Any drinks deals? 4 cans of Redstripe or Gaymers for £10.

Any extras? Loads. Get your picture taken with a replica World Cup, free popcorn and loads of competitions to win gig tickets and drinks. Lovely stuff.

If they were a World Cup country which one would they be? Argentina. Always rammed full of talent.

 

 

The Locker Room, West Street

Which games are they showing? All the games will be shown.

Why here? It’s new, there are loads of TVs and you can reserve your own booth in advance to ensure you don’t have to spend the whole match peering around that tall bloke with the big ears and the cowboy hat.

Any drinks deals? Oh yes. And then some. There’s three packages: Bronze (£30) 1xpitcher (4 pints), 1medium sharing platter (feeds 5-6). Silver (£50) 1xpitcher, 1xbottle of wine, 1xmedium sharing platter, 2xportions of chips + toppings. Gold (£100) 1xbottle of premium spirit, 1xbucket of beer (6 bottles), 1xpitcher of mixer 1xlarge platter (feeds 8+), 4xportions of chips + toppings.

Any extras? We hear talk of penalty shoot outs, Subbuteo comps and sticker swaps.

If they were a World Cup country which one would they be? Bosnia. Newcomers to the World Cup party but expected to make a big splash.

 

Napoleons Casino, Ecclesall Road, Eccy Road

Which games are they showing? All 11pm matches, naturally.

Any deals? Oh yes. They’ve got the 3Bs offer, which means after 11pm you can tuck into a breakfast, a bottle and a £5 bet for just £7. Plus for just £15 a head you can enjoy free games of pool, hot sandwiches and a bucket full of beer (minimum 4 people per booking).

Any extras? Yes. On Thursdays there’s a complimentary American supper served at midnight while on Sundays it’s the same deal, only the breakfast is English. Quite right too.

If they were a World Cup country which one would they be? Spain. Suave, sophisticated and always a winner.

 

 

Napoleons Casino, Owlerton

Which games are they showing? Every goddam match. Even that pesky one at 2am. I’m moving in for a month, me.

Why here? Not only can you watch every single game, but if Iran V Nigeria isn’t the 4-4 thriller you were hoping for, then there’s plenty of betting action to keep you amused in the meantime.

Any drinks deals? £2 a pint voucher for those present at the start of each match

Any extras? Pint, steak wrap & chips is just £5 during every match plus complimentary buffets are served on Monday & Tuesday nights at Midnight.

 

 

Old Monk, Norfolk Street

Which games are they showing? Pretty much all of them.

Why here? It’s a well-established spot for watching the footy with seven TV screens and one large projector.

Any drinks deals? Oh yes. Two bottles of Tiger are just a fiver or you can get five bottles of Fosters Gold for just £10.

If they were a World Cup country which one would they be? Germany. Central location means they are always competitive.

 

Plug, Matilda Street

Which games are they showing? All the England games

Why here? They reckon they’ve probably got the biggest HD screen in Yorkshire plus there’s BBQs from The Twisted Burger Company, pyros for all England goals and a free post match after party.

Any drinks deals? Yup. Pints from £2.50, double pints from £4.50, Carlsberg bottles £2, Jagerbombs £2 and plenty more.

Any extras? Face painting by their sexy soccerettes.

If they were a World Cup country which one would they be? It’s gotta be England. With all this on offer, Plug will have plenty of backing from the home fans.

 

 

Red Lion, Charles Street

Which games are they showing? All the games will be on offer. Hurrah!

Why here? The Red Lion is something of your home away from home. Think warm, welcoming and traditional – but right in the heart of the city centre. Nice little conservatory area too.

Any drinks deals? They pride themselves on bothe the quality and price of their drinks here all year round. Plenty of real ales on offer for the more discerning footy fan.

Any extras? Special platters available.

If they were a World Cup country which one would they be? With a name like The Red Lion, we think it'd be obvious.
