Wigs and Warpaint launch Teaching School
August 15 sees a new exciting chapter in the Wigs and Warpaint story with the launch of their brand new teaching school, The Lewis-Flack Academy.
Designed for studients currently placed in a salon and offering the career-kick start of NVQ Hairdressing level 2 & 3 qualifications, the venture is the brainchild of Wigs and Warpaint co-founder Claire Flack and Michael Lewis. Michael is pretty much Sheffield hairdressing's answer to Mr Miyagi, having been hairdressing for over 42 years, managed two successful hairdressing training companies and short-listed for the British Hairdressing Awards North Eastern Hairdresser of the year no less than four times.
“We’re very excited to have Michael on board and with his experience we aim to expose the students to seminars and shows – giving them the chance to use what they’re learning in a creative environment,” said Claire. “This way it’s not repetitive learning, it’s more about taking them to the next level, whilst here’ll also be inspiration days where students are encouraged to think outside of the box.”
Claire herself is about to work with designers Jayne Pierson & Dom Capel as part of the Sebastian Colt team at London’s Fashion Week, including an after-show party for Verve Clicquet Champagne, which gives some idea of the kind of glamour you can expect.
Described as 'top of the tree training' from a dedicated scheme of highly skilled tutors, flexible training programmes and continued support, contact Michael himself on (0772) 7297612 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
