Walk The Walk

The Sheffield Get Walking Keep Walking project has a whole heap of summer walks for people to get involved with and explore and discover the city.
The Ramblers Project, which started in the city in 2008 and is funded by the Big Lottery, is aimed at getting people active, outdoors, and exploring their local neighbourhoods. Project Coordinator Ben West said: “Fingers crossed we’ll get a nice summer this year and we are encouraging as many people as possible to come and join us on our walks. Walking is a great way to get healthy, relax and unwind, meet new people and also enjoy some of the hidden gems in the city. Also, walking is free, it’s easy to do, and is fun.”
Walks are planned for the following areas so far: Stocksbridge, Ecclesfield, Psalter Lane, Broomhall, Gleadless, Beighton and Tinsley with more to be added.
