U is for… Unsigned

 
Friday March 30, 5pm
 
I skive off work an hour early – and a short Mercury ride to the O2 Academy sees me surrounded by local talent in abundance for the In Tune Festival.
 
Three indoor stages, each progressively louder,  showcasing unsigned acts in aid of Barnardos Charity. Top banana.
 
It’s early doors, but the place is filling up nicely, and I kick things off nice and chilled with acoustic sets from New Camaros and Tom Bordewey – before taking in top performances from the likes of Screaming Maldini and The Hubbards.
 
There should be more of this type of thing going on. Hats off to the student organisers for pulling it all together. Great range of diverse, quality acts.
