The Shindys are a bright, fresh and exciting new four piece post punk, indie/rock band from Chesterfield. They are young, hungry and passionate which is reflected in their raucous live shows and bouncy tunes taking influence from the likes of Joy Division, The Buzzcocks and Miles Kane. They have been writing and performing together since September and in that short space of time have already gained a reputation as impressive performers who put on a real good show with their infectious chorus sing-alongs. Singer Scott Adlington’s charming stage persona and honest lyrics are backed up by Jimmy Pendleton’s lively guitar riffs, John Callan’s punchy bass lines and David Nottingham’s energetic drum beats.
