On a Friday night, there’s nowt better than finding a top line-up of live music – and the Rotherham Trades offers this on a regular basis.
Tonight headlining were The Sherlocks, a foursome from Bolton-on-Dearne who’ve been tipped for great things. On a UK tour that started in Leeds, they nipped back to local turf for this gig, selling the venue out with ease.
Opening up with Live For The Moment and One of a Kind, before the classy Emily, they certainly had the Trades bouncing – with the Sherlocks Army enjoying every moment. With a bigger stage than they’re often used to, the lads didn't fail to impress, and it was clear that there were a few faces who'd not seen them before and were suitably impressed. Kiaran Crook seems to grow in confidence more and more backed by brother Brandon on drums and Josh & Andy Davidson on guitar and bass.
The band worked their way through a good set list featuring Shine Your Light, The Games You Play and When I Called Your Name before weaving into tracks such as Thanks For The Advice, You've Made a Mistake, Take Control, Chasing Shadows and Was It Really Worth It?
For the record, it was.
