The Life Of Reilly

Adopted Sheffielder John Reilly has become something of a city institution.

Formerly the frontman of local leg-ends Boy On A Dolphin, January saw him stepping out as a solo star in his own right with the release of studio album 'Zebulon'.

Having spent time in Vancouver co-writing with some of the greatest songwriters in the business, including Jim Vallance (Bryan Adams, Aerosmith, Tina Turner) and Robbie Buchanan (Christina Aguiler, Diana Ross), he returned to our shores with a handful of solo gigs under his belt to be promptly offered a slot supporting Ray Davies – which culminated in John fulfilling a life-long ambition of playing a sold-out show at The Royal Albert Hall.

He takes to the stage at Plug with a full band this Saturday. For a lesson in how to write a song, you should really be there.
