The First June Doc/Fest

Sheffield Doc/Fest is gearing up to begin its 18th annual event, but in June this year.
The five day festival takes place between 8th and 12th and brings the international documentary family together to celebrate the art of documentary making.
Sheffield is fast becoming known as the place for digital industry workers to get together and a whole host of key figures will be at this year’s event.

Among the thousands of delegates and general public attending, there will be representatives from Sky TV, BBC, Channel 4 and ITV, making it the perfect chance for professionals and amateurs alike to meet, discuss the industry, screen their work and make new contacts.
This year’s festival includes 120 films from dozens of countries, 300 speakers and 150 buyers and decision makers. Literally millions of pounds worth of business takes place over the five days!
Doc/Fest is also very keen to support emerging talents by providing educational programmes and training schemes. Doc/Fest is also known to throw a great party thanks to all those cool documentarians, never a bad thing!
