The British Oak Ale House

The latest addition to Forum Café Bars, The British Oak in Mosborough, opened its doors two weeks ago, making it the seventh addition to Sheffield’s largest independent chain.

The British Oak offers real ales, craft beer, whiskies, wines and cocktails. And if the selection of beverages isn’t enough to tempt you in, they also have some cracking mid-week offers on both drinks and food, including selected cocktail offers and their Burger Wednesdays deal, in which you can get either of their burgers for just £6. Bargain!

On the menu you’ll find a variety of locally sourced dishes including homemade pies, burgers, braised ham hock, garlic roast chicken and lamb rump. They also offer a Sunday menu complete with roast beef, pork, baked ham and nut roasts, with all the trimmings on top.

A traditional pub complete with low ceilings, exposed wooden beams, cosy corners and an impressive range of taxidermy decorating the walls, it won’t be long until The British Oak becomes the new local for many Sheffielders. They even have an outdoor patio, perfect for sitting in the sun with a pint on a summer afternoon.

General Manager Hannah Beddow tells us of the success of the British Oak so far, saying, ‘we’ve been really busy from the word go and the feedback has been excellent. Everyone seems to be saying the same thing, that we’ve brought something great and much needed to the area’.
