Sun Comes Out At Dome

The sun is set to come out for fans of Broadway musical Annie when the enchanting family tale hits the Dome next year.
Harold Gray’s heart warming rags-to-riches story of an 11-year-old orphaned girl on a quest to find her family will captivate audiences at the Doncaster venue from February 15-19.

The much-loved classic, adorned with catchy sing-along tunes such as ‘It’s a hard knock life’ and ‘Tomorrow’, is set against a New York backdrop and includes first class performances from the likes of Su Pollard (best known for her role as Peggy in popular BBC TV series Hi-De-Hi) and fellow TV star David McCallister.

Michael Hart, general manager of the Dome, said: “We’re thrilled to announce such a good natured, feel good musical will be appearing at the Dome and welcome viewers of all ages to enjoy a night of fantastic entertainment with classic songs.”

Guaranteed to win over audiences, red-headed little Annie, who was left on the steps of an Orphanage in the Big Apple as a child, runs away from her mean-tempered matron on a mission to find her mother and father and ends up on an adventure that will change her life.

Tickets start at £19.50 – £26.50. Doors open at 2pm for a Matinee performance on the Wednesday and Saturday and at 7pm for other evening shows. See www.the-dome.co.uk for more.
