Summer's over but the festivals keep on coming…

October doesn’t just mean dark nights and wintry days… Octoberfest is coming!
BBC Radio 5 Live’s Octoberfest is coming to Sheffield for a free three day festival from Thursday 11th – Saturday 13th October. In celebration of our fair city, audiences will be treated to broadcasting by some of Sheffield’s finest talents with a varied mix of programming keeping the topics (and the stars) fresh.
In Partnership with BBC Radio Sheffield, everyone’s favourite shows are in abundance with the programming including Your Call with Nicky Campbell, Simon Mayo and Mark Kermode’s Film Review with Shane Meadows (This is England), 606 with Mark Chapman and Robbie Savage and 7 Day Sunday with Al Murray.
Pulp frontman and BBC Radio 6 presenter Jarvis Cocker will also be talking about his Sheffield roots and South Yorkshire poet, journalist, playwright and Broadcaster Ian McMillan will be presenting The Verb with some extra special guests. Young Sheffielders won’t miss out either with Mr Bloom and his veggies giving a live performance.
Tickets for BBC Radio 5 Live’s Octoberfest are free and can be purchased here.
