Spellbound exhibition by Caz Scott

Exhibition by local artist, showcasing sculptures, paintings and photographs.

From curio's produced from recycled, natural materials, a variety of paintings and a collection of photography, Caz Scott explores the notion of innocence and reveals personal attributes connected to Caz being dyslexic.

Caz’s works have been seen in collaborative exhibitions: Childhood in 2009 and Evolution in 2011 at the Harland Cafe. Caz completed her Foundation Studies in Art and Design at Norton College and is a qualified Art Psychotherapist; Caz has run workshops for children and voluntarily leads an art group, working with people with brain injuries at the Northern General Hospital.   This work is for Caz very rewarding and for the patients an opportunity to express themselves through art.  Caz along with other specialist art therapists is developing a project called ‘Artspace Headspace’ which will deliver art therapy groups in the local community for people with neurological conditions.

Also exhibiting is Daniel Carroll a former patient and current Patient Representative of Osborn 4’s neuro rehabilitation unit at the Northern General Hospital, he has produced a wonderful collection of ‘spray’ art called ‘Brain on Fire’.  A collection entitled ‘Celebrating Nature’ produced by patients and staff of Osborne 4 will be on show too. These pieces are special to Caz, created during her art group sessions by patients who invest enormous effort into their rehabilitation, having also worked incredibly hard to put their collection together.
