Speedy Return!

The Lost Music Club will be rolling back the years this month as plans to release 90s Sheffield indie-pop outfit Speedy’s previously unreleased album have been given the green light.

The band, who formed in 1993 from the remains of former Sheffield band Blammo!, spent their formative years on the same scene as Steel City bands such as Pulp and Longpigs.

Alcopop! Records and the 1p Album Club discovered this previously unreleased nugget of indie gold, and instantly acted on releasing the 17 year unheard album into the wild on their new label The Lost Music Club, which focuses on unearthing music that has never seen the light of day.

Described as the “best Britpop album never released”, News of Nowhere will finally be available on April 7th, and in support of this the band will be taking to the stage in Sheffield and down in ‘that London’ for two live shows.
