Sheffield Folk Festival 2011

Any plans over the Easter weekend? From 22nd – 24th April, the Sheffield Folk Festival will be gracing the Steel City with a smorgasbord of toe tapping, knee slapping, brace snapping melodies from an array of folk bands and their fiddles.

Performing at venues including The University Arms, Hillsborough Hotel, Grapes, Fagans, Riverside & the Kelham Island Tavern, this interactive folk fest prides itself on getting the whole crowd involved with traditional tunes, doing around the room singsongs & sessions with some of the best local talent & musicians offering up a feast of merry melodies for all to enjoy.

The best thing about all this is? It’s absolutely free!

If you’re a local, a yokel or fan of folk rhythms, grab a friend, grab an ale and get down to any of the venues for an exciting weekend of good old fashioned folk festival fun…
