Sheffield Designer Launches New Fashion Label ‘English Girl'

Local lady Michelle Mullins has announced the launch of her own fashion label ‘English Girl’.

The brand, which is set for launch in time for Spring/Summer 15 will offer Balearic rock-chic inspired clothing, made up of exquisite fashion party pieces.  With Michelle’s 19 years of experience in design for the country’s biggest brands including Topshop, Superdry and Fred Perry, ‘English Girl’ is certainly set to be a brand for the style-focused trendsetter.

Speaking about her influences for the brand, Michelle explained that she drew her main influence from the character Jessa Johnson in the US HBO series ‘Girls’.

‘She has spent several years travelling the world and with that she brings an English eccentricness which is magnetic to the rest of the group. In the UK we have always been home to some of the coolest, kookiest girls on the planet, who are papped at parties, festivals, shows, shopping, hanging out with their friends. This has been happening since way back when, it never goes out of fashion.’ Michelle says.

This has influenced their design and online presence, as each season the English Girl team visits a new destination to inspire their collection. This will be accompanied by a behind the scenes blog named EnglishGirlGoes.
