Sharrow Vale Christmas Market

With less than a month until Christmas the festive shopping will be getting underway, and this Sunday's Sharrow Vale Christmas Market is the perfect place to start.

75 stalls will fill Sharrow Vale Road and Stewart Road carpark from 12-4pm, with a range of gifts, entertainment and those much needed Christmas jumpers.

Santa has found time in his hectic schedule to swing by the grotto, but his reindeer were unfortunately busy – so pony rides will have to do!

“We hope that our market really gets people in the mood for Christmas shopping,” says Shelley Cockayne, Publicity Coordinator, “and there will also be some surprising attractions too, like rare breed hens and a donkey!”

Throw in not one but two brass bands and you've got some very special seasonal shopping – and all for a good cause. The market will raise money for local groups and charities, and this year's major beneficiary is Support Dogs, dedicated to training dogs to help people with disabilities, epilepsy and autism.
