See Shonen Knife Live at The Queens Social Club This Friday!

Fun filled girly Japanese pop-punk band Shonen Knife are returning to the UK for just a few dates – hitting Sheffield TOMORROW (Sept 6) to tear Queens Social Club a new one.


The all-female trio have been on the rock scene for some time. Forming in 1981, and inspired by The Ramones, the band write typical three chord punk songs with a J-pop twist.


They supported Nirvana on the ‘Nevermind’ tour and Kurt Cobain was said to be there biggest fan. In fact, their last gig here in the city was with Nirvana back in 1991. Big, eh?


Now in their 31st year, with over 900 gigs under their belts and able to play any of their 90 songs at fans requests, this is a simply a must-see show. Cowtown bring the support action.
