Second Chapter For Book Club

The Book Club celebrate the release of their brand new EP, ‘The fantastical misadventures of Mr Kay’ ,with a Steel City Indie extravaganza at DQ on Friday September 10.

Rising from the ashes of Sheffield favourites Milburn, singer Joe Carnall has gathered together a talented troop of musos to produce what's quickly becoming a tight knit popular beat combo. Of course ,Joe’s voice hasn't changed, and there’s still that essence of melody carried on from the Milburn days.

This is the highly anticipated second release from the quartet. Having paid their dues supporting Babyshambles on a nationwide tour, The Book Club are kicking off their new release just in time for their own European Autumn dates.

Joe Carnall said: "We've been working really hard in the studio and have honed down our sound now. The EP is a collection of tracks that showcase what The Book cCub is all about, I can't wait for the launch at DQ. We've had a busy summer playing with loads of great bands but this one's all about us and showing people what we're about"

The DQ launch sees a live performance from The Book Club with support from another of Sheffield’s finest, The Heebie Jeebies, guaranteeing a packed out crowd.

It all kicks off at at 8pm. Entry is a fiver with all tickets available on the door. www.myspace.com/thebookclubofficial
