Rollerskatin' Around The Clock

Get on your best zoot suit/polka dot dress and come down to Skate Central Sheffield for some Good Vibrations, all for a good cause…
'Good Vibrations' is an event being organised by Phillipa Cheshire, who is attempting to raise £10,00 for the charity Macmillian Cancer Research. With the heavy scent of vintage glamour and rollerskates in the air, the night will mix classic rock ‘n’ roll tunes, stalls with a wealth of local wears, cupcakes and even an intraleague battle between The Death Leopards and The Steel Panthers (Sheffield Steel Rollergirls).
To top it all off,  Roaming Son, Carmen Ghia and The Hotrods and other acts will be performing, not to mention the odd after-show party going on at The Harley and The Green Room. Phew. To promote the evening the local artist Joe Armitage, who has been collaborating The Sheffield Parkour Movement and Remixed in Sheffield this year, has created a very retro Pin Up style poster especially for the shindig, similar to his work for Boneshaker and Burley Q. Come along to Twist And Skate as part of this intriguing fundraiser.
'Good Vibrations' will be taking place on 26th January 2013 at Skate Central Sheffield. Tickets are £10 and can be purchased here with all proceeds going to charity, and you can get the latest updates from their Facebook page here.
