Rationale Heads to The Sheffield City Hall With ‘In My Shoes’

Acclaimed Hip Hop theatre maestros Rationale Productions are set to storm into the Sheffield City Hall this month with their latest creation ‘In My Shoes’.

The show tells the story of a father and son who have a tough time relating to one another. In a bid to save their broken relationship, they sign up to an Extreme Hip Hop Therapy Session which has them imagining what it’s like to be in another’s shoes. Throughout their therapy sessions they meet a whole host of dysfunctional folk, who are all going through their own struggles. On top of that is an oddball therapist- who tries all methods of madness to exempt his patients of their troubles. Cue an incredible amalgamation of movement, dialogue, innovative choreography and interaction, which is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.

The concept behind ‘In My Shoes’ derived from the crew wanting to capture the darker moments in their lives- the personal struggles and experiences that pushed them towards new paths. As George Clinton once said- “you can walk a mile in my shoes, but you can’t dance a step in my feet.” This is something that Rationale Hip Hop Theatre Company holds at the core of their production- the result of which is an extreme hip hop experience not to be missed!

If you fancy catching this brilliant show, it's playing at the City Hall on Wednesday 12th March, with tickets starting from just £7. Head over to the Sheffield City Hall’s website for details on how to book, or call them on 0114 2789 789.
