Radio 1's INMWT Live tonight

The Students’ Union: a place to chat, slurp coffee and catch up on missed lectures?  A pit stop for a quick bite to eat or site of nights better left forgotten?

Of course Sheffield’s union has all of that, but TONIGHT it will be playing host to the stars of national institution BBCRadio 1 as they stage a live 12-hour ‘dance marathon’ as part of In New Music We Trust Live.

Sheffield was the only city outside the capital to be chosen, and will be receiving huge names such as Annie Mac, Rob da Bank, Judge Jules and the legendary Pete Tong.

In addition, up-and-coming underground act GrowMore will be opening with floorfillers to warm up your feet. Chris Moore of the band is feeling ‘giddy’ about the prospect, but their extensive experience of Sheffield House-lovers’ tastes will be sure to get the night going with a bang.

Tickets have sold-out, but catch the whole gig live on BBC Radio 1 by logging onto: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/bbc_radio_one
