Pre-Oktoberfest in Sheffield

Enjoy being elbows deep in beer/sausages? Sheffield is hosting a Pre-Oktoberfest party in homage to Germany’s biggest and most boozy festival.

Pre-Oktoberfest, to be held in the Nichols Building in Shalesmoor, will boast a fine array of traditional German food, including a German hog roast and more beer than you can shake a stick at.

Held from 5pm until 11, there’ll also be plenty of live music from local unsigned bands, and if you’re brave enough to don lederhosen or dirndls in these sadly British temperatures, you’ll get in for a mere quid!

Starting in 1810, Germany’s Oktoberfest is an important part of Bavarian culture, and this year the festival will be celebrating its 180th year. Tickets are £2 in advance from the Nichols building or on the door on the night.
