The eighth Peace In The Park Festival returns to Sheffield this year on Saturday 4th June. Promoting peace and understanding, it is a community festival run entirely with the help and goodwill of volunteers.
There is a huge amount of activities to get involved with, including an acoustic stage where people are welcome to turn up with acoustic instruments to share their talents. There is also a DJ area, community area and lots of creative activities for kids to enjoy!
This year there will also be a world record attempt involving a record number of adults reading to children. Everyone is welcome to take part and all proceeds go to worthy causes. Other areas worth checking out include a cabaret bar and the main stage which will be the home to lots of bands and musicians throughout the day.
Past festivals have raised thousands of pounds for local and overseas charities and they would dearly love to do the same again this year. Anyone wanting to go along and enjoy what’s going to be a great day should be at the Ponderosa Park, Netherthorpe between 12 noon and 8pm.
Anyone wanting to volunteer their time or find out more information about the festival can get in touch with organisers at firstname.lastname@example.org
