O is for… Open Mic

Wednesday March 28, 9.45pm

My Mercury motor rocks up outside The Springvale in Commonside for Can U Jam – a regular Wednesday night live music-must hosted by two of the loveliest and most talented people you’ll meet, Glenn and Russ.

I’m an S6 boy by heart so I’m back on my old stomping ground. The Springvale’s a former local – and walking in it’s like I’ve never been away. A throng of old familiar faces greet me and it feels bloody brilliant.

Can U Jam has built up a massively loyal following over the years – and for good reason. Here you can get up and perform solo or be backed up by a band of pro musicians. For free. It’s the home of legends and the birthplace of stars.

In the past, I’ve even gotten up for a turn or two. On this occasion though, there’s simply too much catching up to do, so I do just that… as the music flows as steadily as the Guinness.

Check out the vid for a taste.

Eek, is that the time? I need a P…
