Not So Sly – Iconic Pop Up Exhibition At Sly

The empty Sly shop pops up with an exhibition that will rock your socks off.

Legendary photographer, Ian Tilton is popping up in Sheffield in its latest pop up exhibition. The empty Sly store will be the hosts to some of the most iconic images of rock and music’s true greats.

We’ve all wanted to be rock stars and smash up a Fender Stratocaster after shredding some crazy riffs, but Tilton has photographed the real players doing it how it should be.

On the tour bus, backstage, hotel rooms, the stories on tours are things of legend and Tilton will be telling the stories behind some of the most famous images in a talk by the man himself.

As well as the exhibition and the talk, on the 15th, will be a showcase of local artists, photography and all things rock ‘n’ roll. So don your leather jacket and torn jeans and get to Sly this May.

The exhibition at Sly, Division Street, runs from 6–19th May. For more info go to The IDMA and Party For The People.
