Moving To A Cleaner Future With #notdriving

This years’ Exposed Awards is proud to announce the launch of South Yorkshire green travel campaign #notdriving

A Sheffield born movement which aims to show that saving the environment doesn’t have to be all doom and gloom. In fact you could walk (or cycle) straight in to a monthly prize draw offering top notch prizes such as VIP treatments, product giveaways and tickets for awesome gigs. All of this just for leaving your motor at home and trying an alternative mode of transport to help make our beloved city become that little bit more sustainable.

It’s all a big piece of environment friendly cake to do. Simply choose what mile saving transport you will be taking to the Exposed Awards, tot up the miles you otherwise would have driven and post them on the notdriving website. Prizes available for all you environmental do-gooders this month include:

A weekend ticket to Detestival Festival
£100 worth of Skull & Bones Clothing
Annual pass to Propaganda at the 02 academy
VIP entry to Paris club night Blessed 31 Mar + 4 people & a bottle of champers
A pair of Urbanears Tanto headphones
2 tickets for Echo & The Bunnymen at the 02 Academy, 16 Apr

Make sure you keep an eye out for #notdriving at the awards as they will be doing the live prize draw tonight!

Sound good? Of course it does! So instead of putting up with the traffic around town this evening or arguing with the missus over the best parking spot, use your noggin to come up with a more eco-friendly means of passage & we’ll see your lovely, green selves at our award ceremony tonight.

For all you cynics out there, who think the crew at notdriving have a job on changing the face of South Yorkshire travel (they do say we Yorkshiremen are stuck in our ways) – the pilot scheme which ran during the Sheftival Festival saw over 10,000 saved miles pledged on their Twitter and Facebook sites. Proving that Sheffield can really take the lead when it comes to reducing the UK’s Carbon Footprint.

So, the message tonight is simple; Let’s keep it clean and keep it green, and we wish you all a wonderful evening!
