The Sensoria Festival of Film and Music have announced the programme for their event which runs from 29th April to 8th May.
It all kicks-off on royal wedding day with a Sensoria street party on Devonshire Street featuring buskers and children’s entertainers.
On the same day on Devonshire Green is the Devonshire market, featuring over 70 stalls as well as live music and street entertainers. There will also be a range of gourmet food, wine and cocktails.
The Washington pub also begins their part in the festival on the 29th with ‘Off with their Heads’, a three-day festival featuring live Sheffield bands including The Violet May, Pete David and the Payroll Union and Death Rays of Ardilla.
Sensoria will be back on the streets from May 4th-7th with an outdoor screen showing a daily programme of films.
Bill Drummond will also be in the city as the festival’s first ‘composer in residence’. Based at Forgemasters he will be composing a score a day which will be posted around the city.
