Marrakesh Comes to Totley!

What has Totley got to do with Marrakech, you ask?

Well,  two happy souls are creating Arabian magic at the Cross Scythes pub, on Monday 28th March, in the form of a Moroccan inspired pop-up shop!

Home grown talent Laura, of Laura Hudson Mackay Photography and purveyor of fine things, Samuel, of Sparrow and Co are behind the The Suburban Souk. In keeping with the Moroccan market theme, tin lanterns and handmade leather pouffes will be available to buy on the night, along with candles and many other items.

Laura will be exhibiting for sale, Limited Edition photographs from ‘The Marrakech Collection’, with images evoking the bustle of the souks, the secret inner court yards and hidden back streets of a thousand and one Arabian nights. Laura’s photography captures those elusive moments, striking with their simplicity and beauty.

There will also be the opportunity to browse and buy Moroccan gifts including, jewellery, slippers, scarves, lanterns and mint tea glasses.

Who knows what you might leave the Suburban Souk with… Whatever it is, a magical evening is guaranteed and it certainly isn’t what you would expect to find on a Monday night on the edge of Totley!

Fun starts from 7:30pm, and the pub is located on Baslow Road. Call 07917694424 for more information.
