Manchester Camerata & Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus
Performing some of the eighteenth century’s most moving music, Nicholas Kraemer and the Manchester Camerata are joined by a cast of top British soloists and the Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus for Mozart’s Requiem: a spiritual masterpiece surrounded by aweinspiring mystery which the composer was working on at the time of his death. Whether or not the haunting, restless music represents acceptance of fragile mortality, each performance is a great occasion. Vivaldi’s Concerto for 4 Violins and Stabat Mater, which featured on the soundtrack of the 1999 film ‘The Talented Mr. Ripley’, are filled with intricate counterpoint and Venetian splendour.
