Local Music, Global Impact

Are you suffering post-summer festival blues? Missing Glasto already? Well, not to worry – as Oxjam Sheffield Music Festival starts this month with events popping up for eight weeks across the city.

Budding Sheffield musicians, bands, DJ’s and artists will be amongst thousands across the country taking to the stage to help raise funds for Oxfam.
The festival is one of the largest in the UK with 950 venues, 2,000 volunteers, 6,000 bands and musicians participating.

Sheffield will be hosting a variety of Oxjam events; from a cabaret night at Penelopes, to an epic 12 hour busking session in the city centre, to a fancy dress Halloween night at The Earl –no to mention a Camden Crawl style Oxjam Takeover event (trendy wristband included).

As one of the highlights of the month-long festival, the Oxjam Takeover will be taking place in the venues around Devonshire Green on October 24.
Our very own Steel City headliners include Screaming Maldini, Andy H, Sequoia DJs, 7 Black Tentacles, All the Damn Kids and plenty more.

Oxjam Sheffield provides a great opportunity for people new and old to the city to see the best of Sheffield music whilst helping raise vital funds for those who most need it across the globe.
