Leopold Square Latin Fever

Cubana settles in to new home of Leopold Square.

Sheffield Latino favourite, Cubana, has reported a "dream start" to their new home in Leopold Square, as they opened on the busiest weekend of the year, during Tramlines festival.

Having left former home of Trippet Lane – where they resided for fourteen years – the team were treated to a packed VIP launch party last Thursday (July 24).

Cubana was a key part of the action of Tramlines weekend, offering a full weekend of live music. Adrian Bagnoli, the venue's co-owner, said: "We really couldn't have wished for a better way to open in Leopold Square and the reaction to the new venue has been fantastic. We've worked hard to give the former Plattilos venue the rustic feel of Cubana and I really think we've achieved that. The reaction from our regulars has been fantastic. Everything people love about Cubana – our award winning tapas food prepared by ever present original head chef Fabian Cruz,  the friendly staff providing that warm Latino welcome, our passion for live music, dancing and our renowned tropical cocktails are as prevalent as ever."

With two floors and a private function room, Cubana offers DJ nights, dance classes and live music acts and have plans to bring in some of the UK's top Latino bands for special events.
